How a monthly
content retainer
actually works.

Most businesses know they need consistent content. Few understand what a retainer actually involves. Here is the full picture: what you pay, what gets delivered, and when it is worth it.

One-off shoots fill a hole. A retainer builds a library.

What you are actually paying for.

A monthly content retainer is a fixed agreement. You pay a set amount every month. In return, you get a shoot, edited photos, and edited reels delivered on a rolling schedule.

At KV, the Foundation tier is $600 per month. That covers a monthly shoot up to two hours, two vertical reels, and 15 edited photos. The Growth tier is from $1,000 per month. Full shoot day, four reels, 30 photos, creative direction included. The Partner tier is $1,800 per month. Eight reels, 50 photos, a monthly strategy session, and priority access.

All retainers have a three-month minimum. That is not arbitrary. It takes three months for consistent content to start compounding. One month of posts does not move a brand. Three months does.

The monthly rhythm.

Here is what a typical month looks like. We schedule the shoot in the first two weeks. I show up, direct it, and shoot photo and video in the same session so everything matches. Editing happens after. You get a gallery and the reels before the end of the month.

You do not need to brief a new vendor every month. You do not need to re-explain your brand. I already know your space, your team, what works and what does not. That knowledge compounds too.

The output goes straight to your phone. Post it yourself or hand it to whoever manages your social. The editing is done. Nothing left for you except choosing what goes up first.

When a retainer is worth it.

A retainer makes sense when you need to post consistently and you do not want to think about it. Gyms posting six times a week. Outdoor brands building an audience. Athletes building a personal brand around their training.

It does not make sense if you have one event per year and that is all you need. That is a one-off shoot. A retainer is for brands that are actively in front of their audience every week.

How to start.

The lowest-friction entry point is the Intro Session at $350 flat. 75 minutes, one location, 20 edited photos delivered in five business days. It is designed to show you how the work comes together before you commit to anything monthly.

After the Intro Session, if the work fits, we talk about a retainer. You pick the tier that matches your volume. We set the schedule. The first month starts.
